Join Illinois Right to Life to Protest the Repeal of Parental Notice in Springfield!

We need YOU in Springfield!
The Illinois General Assembly is considering multiple ways to repeal Parental Notice of Abortion, undermining parental rights and putting our daughters at risk. This week, they will consider several pieces of legislation to repeal or undermine the Parental Notice of Abortion Act (PNA), an essential safeguard for minor girls in Illinois and beyond.
As we’ve shared, some Illinois lawmakers along with their friends at Personal PAC, Planned Parenthood, and other radical abortion advocacy groups are working to repeal Parental Notice of Abortion during this Veto Session. We must take action now to protect Parental Notice of Abortion!
Please gather your friends and family and come to Springfield this Tuesday, October 26!
We need YOU to be a witness in favor of Parental Notification! We will hold signs outside the Capitol to let legislators know a majority of Illinois voters SUPPORT Parental Notification. We will let them know it is their duty to PROTECT ILLINOIS GIRLS AND THE RIGHTS OF THEIR PARENTS!
When: Tuesday, October 26. Arrive at 10 am. Depart approximately 1:30 pm. (If you are not able to attend on Tuesday, groups will be meeting on both Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28 at the same times and places.)
Where: Pick up signs at 108 E. Cook St., Springfield, IL. Park in the back, pick up signs and attend a briefing, then walk to the Capitol. (You are welcome to bring your own signs. We ask that they focus solely on Parental Notification and parents’ rights and do not include graphic photos)
Questions? E-mail [email protected] or call 312-422-9300.
If you’re not able to join us this week, PLEASE call your State Representative and State Senator in Springfield! You can find your legislators here. Please encourage your friends, family, and neighbors to call, as well! These calls DO MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!
The opposition plans to attempt a rushed repeal next week because so many people oppose it. Because of this, we don’t yet have specific bill numbers. For more information on the current law, for talking points, and to read about the many anti-trafficking experts who support retaining PNA to protect our girls, go to www.saveparentalnotification.com.
Thank you for all you’re doing to protect Illinois girls and the rights of their parents! We hope to see you in Springfield!
