President Trump Signs Executive Order to Protect Babies Born Alive

In his recent signing of an executive order to protect all babies born alive, especially meant to protect babies who survive abortions, Donald Trump states to the American people what should be a moral fact ingrained on our consciences: all babies who are born alive should be given the best care and be allowed to stay alive.

Apparently, this has not been as clear as it should be in America, as Democrats have rejected bills to protect babies who survive abortions not just once, but over 80 times! This time, Trump is taking it into his own hands and announcing that medical care must be given to infants who are born alive after botched abortions.

He explained at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, “Today I am announcing that I will be signing the Born-Alive Executive Order to ensure that all precious babies born alive, no matter their circumstances, receive the medical care that they deserve. This is our sacred and moral duty.”

These words demonstrate that our president recognizes the inherent dignity and worth of every human being and, even now when there is so much turmoil with other issues in our country, is continuing to do his part to protect it.

As this was announced at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, which was held virtually because of coronavirus concerns, Trump referenced Pope John Paul II. Trump spoke of how he has been inspired by Pope John Paul II, especially his words of,  “let the Good News of Christ radiate from your hearts and the peace that He alone gives remain forever in your souls.” Trump explained how pro-lifers and people of faith are giving him hope for this country and the future of this nation.

Jeanne Mancini, the President of the March for Life, explained to LifeNews that this is just another victory in the long list of pro-life victories President Trump has accomplished in his time as president. “President Trump once again has stepped up for life. His actions today provide necessary legal protections for some of the most vulnerable in society: survivors of failed abortions. These steps had to be taken because some Democrats in the Senate promised to block legislation that mandates basic medical care for children who survive an abortion.”

In the last months of his first term as President, Donald Trump is leaving no doubt in our minds as to how pro-life he is. In contrast, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris continue to leave no doubt in our minds about how radically pro-abortion they are. Pro-Lifers across America are rejoicing at President Trump’s continued support for the right to life as well as his support for people who defend life from conception to natural death.
