Pro-Life History in the Making: A Day of Dobbs

On December 1, 2021 the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health case. This case is the first direct challenge to the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion in America. 

This day of events will include both a morning listening session as well as an evening reception. In between, join us for several live Facebook and Instagram videos throughout the day to keep you up to date on the events of the day in Washington, D.C.

In the morning:

Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health   Live Listening Session and Panel Discussion

Join a panel of legal experts to hear the oral arguments as they happen then listen as they discuss the arguments and their implications. A light breakfast will be served.

This listening session and panel discussion is being held in conjunction with The Thomas More Society as well as Notre Dame University’s de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture.

Come enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a discussion of the day’s events with Illinois Right to Life Executive Director, Amy Gehrke, Illinois Right to Life Program Director and author of two amicus curiae briefs in the Dobbs case, Steven Jacobs, J.D., Ph.D., and other legal experts. They will discuss the arguments, what they may reveal, as well as what the case could mean for Illinois.
