LOMBARD – In an exclusive event, Illinois Right to Life will celebrate the thousands of lives saved from abortion at its Golden Jubilee on Friday May 18, 2018 at the Carlisle in Lombard, Illinois.

“We are so proud and excited to celebrate with our supporters, donors, and fellow pro-life advocates 50 years of helping unborn children escape abortion,” said Emily Troscinski, executive director of Illinois Right to Life. “Our 50 year history includes counseling and assisting pregnant women and their children, and converting and instilling pro-life values in students through scientific education, online outreach, media appearances and grassroots action. Together, with our volunteers and donors, we’ve changed so many hearts and saved thousands of lives – and it’s those precious lives we are celebrating.”

Illinois Right to Life has invited renowned pro-life comedian and author, Mike G. Williams to help them celebrate not only Illinois Right to Life’s 50th Birthday, but also the birthdays of thousands of babies saved through their work. Williams, a native of Chicago, is heard daily on the SiriusXM’s Laugh USA, and has recorded 17 comedy projects and written 8 books. His own personal adoption stories will move you to tears of great joy (and at times intense laughter).

Illinois Right to Life is the oldest educational pro-life organization in the state of Illinois. Prior to the legalization of abortion, the organization was founded in 1968 by four doctors and one attorney. They saw the abortion industry gaining control of the state and were shocked by its aberrant legal claims and misrepresentation of basic scientific and medical facts.

To counteract this growing force, IRL was formed to present the people of Illinois with the truth. Since that day, the organization has remained true to its mission: to educate the public on the beauty and value of all human life from conception through natural death and build a culture of life in Illinois.
