Priests and Pastors Urge America to Vote for Donald Trump

On Sunday, July 26, one of the most renowned pro-life priests of our time came out with a statement which addressed who Catholics, and all who are pro-life, should vote for. Sunday marked the 100 day point until the 2020 elections, so this topic was hot on the radar. Father Frank Pavone, the leader of Priests for Life of America, urged pro-lifers to vote for President Donald Trump,

Fr. Pavone said, “With 100 days left until Election Day, November 3, 2020, I call upon all of my fellow patriots who embrace pro-life and conservative principles to put aside, as much as possible, all other activities and to make it their first priority, as it will be mine, to re-elect President Trump, to give him a Republican House and Senate, and to elect Republicans on the state and local level as well.”

Stressing that there can be no middle ground in this upcoming election, Fr. Pavone went on to say, “It is no exaggeration to say that everything we’ve worked for, as a Church, a nation, and a pro-life, pro-family movement, is on the line in these next 100 days. This is a spiritual battle and no less than a civil war. We have to be all in, publicly, unapologetically, and with crystal clarity.”

Essentially, this November we will be faced with two options: we can vote for a president who has said he is pro-life and acted on that all throughout his presidency, or we can vote for a president who, just a few weeks ago, came out publicly saying that he supports abortion in all circumstances.

Father Frank Pavone isn’t the only priest who has stressed the importance of voting for a pro-life president. Other priests have come forward to speak out against pro-choice candidate Joe Biden. “Joe Biden has already, rightfully so, been refused communion,” said Father Stephen Imbarrato, seen on EWTN, and a member of Red Rose Rescues.  Father Imbarrato goes on to cite a list of what Joe Biden supports, including murdering babies up to the day of birth and murdering the sickly and elderly through euthanasia. “He is a walking and talking scandal to his Catholic faith and has rightly been refused the Eucharist because he persists in ongoing mortal sin thus separating himself from communion with the Church,” says Father Imbarrato. “He scandalizes the Catholic faith in so many ways that objectively he actually seems “anti Catholic” in his beliefs.”

Many Evangelical Protestants are also in full support of President Trump. Pastor Paula White, spiritual adviser to President Trump explained, “President Trump has been a staunch defender of people of faith, and the Evangelical community is fired up and ready to rally behind him in November.” Pastor Paula emphasized how throughout his presidency, President Trump has continued to fight for our religious freedoms and the principles of faith upon which our country was founded. This is encouraging to hear from someone so close to Trump, as it reaffirms our conviction that Donald Trump stands for faith, families, and freedom. President Donald Trump is not perfect, but as we have seen from many priests, pastors, American people, and all the executive orders and laws Donald Trump has passed, he is the most pro-life president America has had in a long time, and he is not afraid to use his power as president for good!
