On June 30th, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released a shocking and disturbing video of Planned Parenthood admitting to fetal trafficking and even harvesting organs from born-alive abortion victims. Planned Parenthood and their allies have claimed for years that they have never sold fetal parts from abortions, but after being forced to testify about this under oath, they tell a very different story.
These Planned Parenthood employees and supporters were gathered for an interview about whether or not they were committing illegal acts, namely, selling fetal body parts for profit. In this interview, they openly admitted to keeping the abortion victions, which are sometimes born alive, and operating on them for their organs and tissues so that they could make profit off of them.
Perrin Larton, Procurement Manager for Planned Parenthood’s procurement partner Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc. (ABR), was interviewed in the video about how an abortion would occur. She explained that sometimes the fetus would come out fully intact and still alive, and when asked if the fetus has a heartbeat when it is out of the mother’s womb, she said, “It would depend.” Since 1989, ABR has been harvesting and selling aborted fetal parts, making it the oldest known organization to take part in such a business.
One of the first expository videos released by CMP involved an interview with the aforementioned Perrin Larton. In the original interview, Larton said that the unborn babies, “Don’t come out intact.” Now, being asked if the fetuses occasionally have a closed abdomen, Larton replies, “Yes.”
After being asked a few more questions, Lawton admits that when an entire fetus is intact in the lab, “We do a dissection.” She goes on to say, “We do a dissection to get the tissues that the researchers have requested.” She is then asked to confirm that these fetuses have heartbeats, and an objection is raised, because Lawton is not a doctor, and thus, not qualified to answer.
The federal Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act mandates that the US protect any “person” “human being” “child” or “infant” who is born alive, “At any stage of development… even after an abortion.”
The federal law defines “born alive” as a “fetus with a beating heart.” So, a fetus that “falls out” and is then used to sell for the body parts is firstly being murdered, and secondly being sold. “Whoever… uses… any facility of interstate commerce, with the intent that a murder be committed… as consideration for the receipt of anything of pecuniary value… shall be punished. Considering this, Planned Parenthood has just admitted to fetal trafficking, which is highly illegal.
This news is extremely important for the pro-life community to hear, and the next question is, what is to be done about it? “How long will public authorities permit Planned Parenthood and their associates to sell living children inside and outside the womb and then kill them through organ harvesting?” the leader of CMP project David Daleiden questions, “The DOJ has vigorously prosecuted the sale of eagle body parts. Surely selling human body parts after cutting them out of an infant with a beating heart is at least as grave of a crime.”
