Fact: Planned Parenthood has 17 clinics open for business in our state. It’s pretty clear they are doing the best they can to keep Illinois the “abortion oasis” of the Midwest. But the next time you drive by a one of these clinics or bring them up in conversation, all you have to do is remember this nifty little acronym – four letters – and you’ll have everything you need to know:

Because it’s time we dump Planned Parenthood once and for all. And here’s why:
Disgusting.
Why are they disgusting? Because no Planned Parenthood facility in Illinois is licensed by the state, nor has any one of these facilities received a health and sanitary inspection since 1999 (contact us to see the documents from the IDPH). Ew! Even your nail salon is licensed and inspected on average once every year.
Unnecessary.
They say they are essential to women’s health care, but it turns out…they’re not. First of all, less than 3% of women in Illinois actually use their services. Over 97% don’t. They go elsewhere. They go to the 670 alternative health care clinics (we have the list if you’d like to see it) located throughout the entire state. These alternatives outnumber Planned Parenthood centers 39 to 1.
Money. Money. Money.
Planned Parenthood of Illinois collected $4.4 million from Illinois taxpayers just last year. On top of that, Planned Parenthood Federation of America raked in $543.7 million dollars (nearly half a billion) in taxpayer funds. It turns out last year they brought in over $1.4 billion dollars in revenue. Their recent annual report shows that $98.5 million dollars of this lump sum was excess revenue – profit. (So much for being a “non-profit” organization).
People…missing.
According to the report, Planned Parenthood performed 321,384 abortions just last year. That’s about 880 unborn children losing their lives in clinics, every day. Based on recent numbers given by the Guttmacher Institute, Planned Parenthood is accountable for 34.6% of all abortions in the United States last year.
It’s heart wrenching and shocking to think of the 2.1 million people who are missing in Illinois today (since 1973) because of abortion, and Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, has played a huge role in this.
Our state is better than that. You and I are better than that. We don’t need Planned Parenthood. We have better options. So let’s dump ‘em.
