Fr. Thomas Milota

Benediction

Fr. Milota was ordained a Catholic priest on June 6, 1992 and has served the Diocese of Joliet for the last 29 years at various parishes including the Cathedral of Saint Raymond in Joliet, Saints Peter and Paul in Naperville, Sacred Heart in Lombard and is presently the pastor at Saint Petronille Parish in Glen Ellyn.  He has been a strong advocate for and defender of the sanctity of human life from conception to a natural death all of his life.  He was co-founder of Woman’s Choice Services and served for many years as the chaplain to Waterleaf Women’s Center in Aurora as well as Director of the Joliet Diocesan Respect Life Office.  He lived, studied and worked in Rome for 8 years including assisting Pope Saint John Paul at the altar numerous times.  In 2018, he took a leave of absence from active ministry to be the primary care giver for his mother until her death.  She gave him his first example of faith and hope and love which continues to encourage him in his ministry today.  He considers himself privileged to offer the prayer at today’s banquet as he is a strong advocate for the work of Illinois Right to Life.
