It’s our pleasure to introduce you to Mary Kate Knorr – our new executive director!
We couldn’t be more excited and proud to welcome Mary Kate to the IRL team!
Mary Kate brings a deeply-held passion for the protection of life, women’s health, and the defense of society’s most vulnerable. She also has numerous years of experience in political communications and state government.
Under her leadership, we expect to increase the number of hearts won for the Illinois pro-life movement, and we look forward to strengthening our life-saving work as the state’s oldest pro-life organization.

Emily Troscinski, our much loved former executive director, served her role tirelessly and with great dedication. We are so grateful for her hard work and the immense growth she brought to our life-saving work.
Now, Emily is leaving her position, but she will remain on staff in a more flexible capacity, in order to pursue an even higher pro-life calling: full-time motherhood.
So she’s passing the torch to Mary Kate, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
